All I Really Need to Know I Learned in my Garden
(inspiration: Fulghum’s Kindergarten)
1. There is a Creator. And it’s not me.
2. Death is necessary for Life.
3. No season lasts forever.
4. Not everything can blossom where it’s planted.
5. When harmful bugs are plenty, expect many butterflies as well.
6. A turnip will never grow from a lettuce seed.
7. A weed is only a matter of perspective.
8. The only way to prevent growth is to stop life.
9. Health begins at the root.
10. The richest soil is composted garbage and manure.
A garden is a perfect place to discover Truth. It is what it is. Often in my musings I find that whatever it is I’m thinking about connects to one of these ten simple observations. So, I’ll try to remember to tag my posts with one of these ‘observable truths’ and file the category 🙂
So, I’m supposed to be working but instead am transfixed; can’t stop reading as your words resonate within me; “YES!”
Yes, I want to share that part I just read with my friend, it’s just what she needs to hear; Oh, and yes, I know that feeling!; and yes, what you say is true for me, too; and yes, if only I could remember to… and yes, I love you sis! You are more beautiful than when you were 18 and a goddess in my eyes, because you are a soul revealed and honest. And I get to spend forever with you! Turn your face into the sun and smile :))
Oh, Gi, I’m so glad you stopped by! I love knowing I can share my most hidden thoughts with you.
I try to post every 4-6 weeks or so, maybe that will become more often as I get some other writing projects out of the way… Hope you will visit again 🙂
You sound like someone who would appreciate this poem by my Grandma
